Khaled Machaca, PhD
Principal Investigator
Professor of Physiology and Biophysics
Senior Associate Dean for Research, Innovations and Commercialization
Dr. Machaca studies the regulation of calcium signaling pathways during cellular development and differentiation, including during oocyte maturation and hypertension. He also investigates the regulation of cell cycle transitions, including the role of transition metals and a focus on meiotic arrest.

Raphael Courjaret, PhD
Assistant Professor of Research in Physiology & Biophysics

Dr. Courjaret studies intracellular calcium signaling using a combination of imaging, electrophysiology and animal models. Interested in understanding the mechanisms leading to specific and localized calcium changes in response to various physiological and pathological situations.

Raphael Courjaret

Nancy Nader, PhD
Assistant Professor of Research in Physiology and Biophysics

Dr. Nader’s research goals are to define the signal transduction cascade downstream of progesterone that lead to oocyte maturation, and to determine the implication of mPRs signaling in different animal models and tissues, healthy and diseased.
