The Institute for Population Health (IPH) is honored to receive the 2025 Health Promoting Campus Award, part of Cornell University’s President’s Awards for Employee Excellence. This award recognizes the IPH team for advancing innovative, prevention-focused initiatives that promote health, prevent disease, and reduce premature mortality – creating healthier communities locally, regionally and globally. This award exemplifies the Okanagan Charter’s vision of “People, Places and Planet,” affirming the IPH’s commitment to promote health and well-being across all aspects of university life. Through its pioneering work in Lifestyle Medicine, the IPH team is redefining the role of lifestyle health by integrating it into education, research, and community engagement - driving positive health outcomes.
