Take short breaks during the day and be physically active

#Physical Activity As a preventive measure to contain the spread of COVID-19, we continue to stay at home. This can be a major challenge while trying to stay physically active. Sedentary behavior and low levels of physical activity can have a negative effect on an individual's health, well-being and quality of life. You CAN keep active and reduce sedentary behavior while at home. Here’s how:

Take short active breaks during the day

  • Take short active breaks during the day
  • Follow an online exercise class
  • Walk (in small spaces, walk on the spot)
  • Stand up (to interrupt sitting every 30 mins)

Finally, don’t forget to relax and take deep breaths!
