Welcome to Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar Alumni, an entity developed to allow WCM-Q graduates to reacquaint themselves with old friends, fellow students and most importantly stay up to date with all that is scheduled at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar and the opportunities the university has to offer.
Medical Education, along with your Course Directors have carefully reviewed the curriculum to determine if there are any activities that must be in person. Your Course Directors will let you know, well in advance, of any in person activities.
Please see point 7 (above) for guidelines on entering the WCM-Q building.
Your exams will be run online, through a secure application, Examsoft, on a laptop. You will be asked to join a Zoom call on a second device, through which you will be proctored during your exam. You will be sent thorough instructions on how to set up the second device
The way Examsoft is set up only requires an internet connection to download the exam, and to submit it once complete. An internet connection is not required to complete the exam once it has been downloaded. However, if that occurs, you would be disconnected from Zoom, at which point one of the proctors would call you to make contact.
No. Due to the secure nature of your remote exam, washroom breaks will not be permitted.
That is correct – proctored exams are recorded. We refer back to the video if there is a case of academic misconduct. Therefore, your video and sound must be on for the duration of your exam.
Please contact your Course or Clerkship Director if you are ill. In parallel, please contact Student Affairs. For comprehensive guidelines related to COVID-19, please see WCM-Q COVID-19 Guidelines for Student Testing and Monitoring, Infection Control, PPE Usage, and Patient Care
If you have a connection issue on the date of your exam, please call your proctor (who will share their information with you in advance of your exam).
