Global Health Service Learning Program

The Institute for Population Health will select up to 8 first year pre-medical students from WCM-Q for a global health service learning experience of 2 weeks at a medical setting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Learning objectives:
  • Examine the healthcare system in a lower middle-income country
  • Develop medical knowledge commensurate with their level of experience and education
  • Identify the challenges associated while working with special needs children
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a new culture and working environment
