Global and Public Health Internship
The Institute for Population Health (IPH) offers an innovative global and public health internship program for undergraduate students. Talented high school students who have exhibited a strong interest in a health-related discipline are also considered.
The program introduces students to the basic core concepts of global health, health promotion, disease prevention and healthcare. It optimizes their awareness and knowledge in these areas. Students have an opportunity to participate in research, interact with pre -medical and IPH faculty/staff, audit select classes, and participate in other activities as determined by the program faculty.
The program, usually of 3-6 months duration, is custom tailored to individual student needs. In exceptional circumstances, short term opportunities may be considered for the students. It is overseen and administered by IPH and receives full support from the Division of Premedical Education and its faculty.
Students interested in applying to the program must submit an application and accompanying documents. Acceptance into the program is determined by the IPH.
