Prerequisites: D grade or better in CHEM 3570 (although C grade or better is strongly recommended) or permission of the instructor of record.
Not recommended for students who are considering graduate studies in chemistry.
Introduction to the synthesis, separation, characterization, and handling of materials, including the applications of different types of extraction, distillation and crystallization. Lastly, spectroscopy, including IR, Mass Spec, and NMR will be introduced.
