Description
|
By the end of the elective time, students should be able to apply knowledge on medical conditions associated with older adults in creating educational materials that serve as resources for patients and their caregivers.
Students are expected to work closely with the elective sponsors to achieve the following objectives:
1. Identify evidence-based literature on the topic chosen and discuss the critical appraisal for the topic
2. Develop patients information materials using simple language in Arabic and English.
3. Demonstrate effective communication skills using non medical jargon.
4. Relate to the special needs of the older adults.
The final evaluation is based on the successful completion of the chosen topic and achieving the above objectives.
