Description
|
This month-long anatomy elective prepares students for residency by providing an integrative understanding of clinical anatomy as applied to a chosen area of medicine. The course applies clinical cases to student-directed, cadaveric dissection. Presentations and tutoring will allow students to practice communicating effectively with patients and colleagues.
Learning Objectives By the end of the course, students will be expected to:
1. Demonstrate in lab the anatomical basis of essential clinical procedures.
2. Teach students attending the anatomy lab.
3. Perform dissection of anatomical regions relevant to their future career.
4. Assist with administering anatomy quizzes.
5. Demonstrate the ability to develop and present comprehensible applied anatomical concepts to an audience.
Criteria for upon which final evaluation will be based:
1. Attendance
2. Tutoring
3. Presentations to faculty
4. Dissection
5. Professionalism
Students are required to do two presentations to faculty. Their performance will be evaluated using special evaluation forms
