Description

This is four-week elective delivered basically at Hamad General Hospital involves mainly inpatient Pulmonary consultations, outpatient Pulmonary clinics and additional brief journey in pulmonary laboratory, sleep laboratory and procedure room. There are many educational activities that students should attend, these are fellows’ s didactic lectures, chest grand round and multidisciplinary rounds. Evaluation is based on supervising faculty feedback. Objectives during the elective include mastering History and Physical Examination in respiratory system, management of common pulmonary disease, interpretation of lab test, radiography and other modalities of pulmonary test such as ABG, thoracentesis and Pulmonary function test.
