Description
|
Course objectives:
1) To know the different radiological modalities utilized for evaluation of the musculoskeletal system
2) To understand the indications and contraindications related to the use of these modalities
3) To understand the risks associated with radiological evaluation and how to reduce/eliminate those risks.
4) To be able to interpret some cases in which imaging maybe typical of a common clinical condition.
Criteria for final Evaluation
1- Attendance
2- Interest in the subject
3- Basic knowledge
4- Ability to work and present independently
5- The knowledge gained from the elective
6- Interaction with Faculty and Colleagues
During those two weeks (10 working Days), the student will rotate between 3-4 Musculoskeletal radiologists. S/He will be introduced to the daily activities of a musculoskeletal radiologist. The student will sit for the reporting sessions, the clinical discussions and the clinical radiological meeting during her/his stay in the radiology department. S/He will be expected to collect 3-4 clinical cases to present, including the clinical picture, the radiological investigations and the findings in those patients.
