Description

Students are expected to participate fully as sub-interns in the activities of the MICU team, which include work rounds, consultant rounds and endorsement rounds. They are expected to take responsibility for the care of critically ill patients appropriate to their level of training under supervision of the MICU consultants and Specialists. Students are encouraged to carry 1 to 3 patients at a time depending on complexity and as per consultant/specialist advice. This has to be done under appropriate supervision. Students are expected to take calls as assigned by the MICU director.
