• Yes, your NBME’s will be administered at the college.
• Should the need arise, NBME’s may be completed remotely. You will be provided with detailed instructions on how to prepare for exam day, as well as the expectations for exam day. Please note that all examination sessions are recorded.

During an in-person exam administration, the likelihood of this happening is low. If it does occur, please raise your hand and a proctor will assist you. During a remote exam administration, please contact a proctor. The proctors will share their mobile numbers before the exam starts.

If your exam is administered remotely, it will be recorded. We refer back to the video if there is a case of academic misconduct. Therefore, your video and sound must be on for the duration of your examination.

• If you have a connection issue on the date of your exam, please call your proctor (who will share their information with you in advance of your examination).

i. September 15, 2021 – applicants may begin submitting applications to residency programs.

ii. October 21, 2021 – MSPE released to residency programs at 9 am EST. Residency programs begin reviewing applications.

iii. March 14, 2022 – at 11 am EST, applicants learn if they have matched (by email and the R3 system). 

• SOAP-eligible unmatched and partially matched applicants can access the List of Unfilled Programs in the R3 system. Medical schools receive the List of Unfilled Programs as well.

iv. March 16 – 18, 2022 – SOAP rounds 1-4.

v. March 19, 2022 – Match Day.

• The ECFMG will accept the Occupational English Test (OET) Medicine to satisfy the English language proficiency requirement. To meet ECFMG’s requirement, applicants must attain a minimum score of 350 (Grade B) on each of the four measured components of OET Medicine: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking.
• Applicants who have previously passed the USMLE Step 2 CS are not eligible to take the OET.

i.     HMC requires applicants to submit their application by November 30, 2021.

ii.     Exams required for application - either:

• Passing score on USMLE Step 2 CK;
• IFOM (CSE) score of 74;
• Or, Canadian MCC(QE) Part 1 Examination (Pass required)
