Position Responsibilities:
- Engage in active communications with the student Clubs/Orgs.
- Assist in the events planning process.
- Attend the events coordination meetings (if possible).
- Assist in publicizing and promotion of events (example: Social Media).
- Assist in securing the supplies needed for the student events and programs.
- Attend student events and sporting programs and take pictures (as directed).
- Coordinate with MSEC-Q, as required.
- Create surveys needed for the student events and collect assessments as needed.
- Report any university violations that take place during student events.
Position Expectations
- Represent the mission & vision of Student Affairs.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Student Events area.
- Report directly to the Events & Student Development Specialist.
- Attend regular one-on-one meetings with the supervisor.
- Devote 10 hours per week to this position (with possible additional hours if needed).
- Flexibility is needed with completing the tasks/responsibilities outside of normal business hours.
- Serve as a positive role model to students and student leaders.
- Maintain a good relationship with SA staff, other university departments staff, and students.
- Attend any required training provided by the Student Events Team.
- Attend meetings and campus events, as directed.
- Support the university policies and guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Outreach to student organizations on behalf of the Student Activities area.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience and involvement with the student Clubs/Orgs area (preferred).
Compensation
Starting rate of 40 QAR per hour
