WCM-Q puts health and sustainability center stage at Expo 2023 Doha

Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q) is participating in Expo 2023 Doha with a fully immersive and experiential learning exposition titled LifeHub, which runs until March 28, 2024, in Al Bidda Park. LifeHub is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

LifeHub concentrates on four key interconnected themes—climate change; sustainability; nutrition & wellness; and science, technology & AI. Each dimension plays a crucial role in protecting ecosystems through increased awareness of health and sustainability.

Located in the Innovation Center at the International Zone of Expo 2023 Doha, LifeHub offers an immersive, innovative, and interactive experience that stimulates curiosity, cultivates knowledge, and raises awareness of the need to create a healthier and more sustainable future for the planet and its people. Each activity is designed to utilize the latest technologies and to be both informative and engaging, allowing visitors of all ages to learn in fun and interactive ways.

Secretary General of Expo 2023 Doha, Mr. Mohammed Al-Khoori, said: “The theme of Expo 2023 Doha is “Green Desert, Better Environment,” and is consistent with Qatar National Vision 2030 and its goals of establishing an environment that promotes creative ideas in modern agriculture, technology, innovation, environmental awareness, and sustainability. LifeHub is a fully immersive and experiential learning exposition.

To date, LifeHub has welcomed over 18 thousand visitors, 55 private and public-school tours, and two thousand school students. The exposition’s social media campaign has also garnered impressive public interest, securing more than 46 million impressions, 366 thousand engagements, and 173 thousand website clicks.

The state-of-the-art equipment used in LifeHub has been developed to create an experience that fully embraces the notion of mobility and reusability. This sustainable approach will benefit communities for years to come.
