Description

Description: This is a two weeks elective (10 teaching days). The student will be supervised by three different Pediatric Radiologists (occasionally two). The candidate will be required to spend two sessions in Radiology Department of Al-Khor Hospital. He will be introduced to all modalities utilized in Pediatric Radiology. He will be exposed to many aspects of Pediatric Radiology. He will be expected to give a presentation including few cases, which he has seen during his elective. This elective is suitable for those who have an interest in Pediatrics, Pediatric Surgery, Radiology and Pediatric Radiology.

    Objectives:
  1. To familiarize the student with the application of imaging methods in Pediatric Radiology.
  2. To familiarize optimization of and proper selection of imaging methods in Pediatric Radiology.
  3. Familiarize the student with common pediatric disease as evident by imaging methods.
  4. Familiarize the student with Radiation Protection and Pediatric Radiology.
    Criteria:
  1. Attendance.
  2. Interest in the subject.
  3. Basic knowledge.
  4. Ability to work independently and to present.
  5. Knowledge gained from the elective.
  6. Interaction with Faculty and Colleagues
