The Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
WCM-Q applied for accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) in April 2016 and, following submission of a self-study, performance-in-practice documentation and an accreditation interview, was awarded accreditation as a provider of continuing medical education for physicians in November 2016. This places WCM-Q amongst the first institutions in the world outside of the US to be recognized as an accredited provider by the ACCME and to have the rights and responsibility to designate AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM.
All applicants are expected to familiarize themselves with Weill Cornell’s continuing medical education guidelines and policies as well as the ACCME ”essentials” for CME activities. Additional documents may be required by the CME committee. These are outlined in the application form and guidelines.
In November 2014, WCM-Q was accredited as a provider of continuing medical education (CME) and continuing professional development (CPD) by the Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) of the Supreme Council of Health.
