In line with Qatar National Vision 2030, WCM-Q’s Research Division has established a center of excellence in basic, translational and clinical biomedical research that is supported by world-class infrastructure and outstanding scientists to target the most pressing health needs in Qatar and the region.
WCM-Q has 34 research laboratories specializing in a variety of subjects including infectious diseases, cell signaling, genetics and immunology, and metabolomics.
WCM-Q’s Research Division has nine core facilities that provide technical and practical support to the college’s faculty members.
Research training programs at WCM-Q have been developed to encourage young people to consider a career in research, to provide experience of the division’s work, and to increase research capacity within Qatar.
WCM-Q is dedicated to ensuring that faculty, students and staff understand their responsibilities in conducting research activities.
The division is part of the Research department at WCM-Q and play a role in the pre-award phase of a research application, in the procurement phase of the research, and in sponsor reporting.
WCM-Q's Research Division is contributing in building biomedical research, human capacity and tackling the most pressing health needs in Qatar and the region.
