ILM Level 5 Training Program in Leadership & Management

As part of our mission to support your efforts to develop skills which complement your clinical expertise, the Office of Alumni Support has engaged an accredited international provider of management and leadership training tools to offer the ILM Level 5 program to WCM-Q alumni.

The ILM5 program of the Institute of Management & Leadership (ILM) has strong alignments with the leadership competencies and behaviors demanded of newly qualified physicians. ILM programs are based on the National Qualification Credit Framework (QCF), which is accredited in UK.

The Office of Alumni Affairs is sponsoring 10 seats for this course, so book early to avoid disappointment.

The program is comprised of seven workshops delivered over seven consecutive days.

The training will be delivered 100% online in live workshops.


Course Dates and Timings

June 10-16, 2022 (enrollment closed).
September 11-17, 2022 (enrollment open).

The live online workshops run from 6-9pm (Doha time) each day. Please note that the sessions will not be recorded.

The approach will provide both the practical skills, tools and techniques, as well as the foundational knowledge required to develop key management and leadership skills. These Level 5 vocational qualifications are designed for senior and leaders seeking to develop their professional skills,who recognize they must satisfy various stakeholders and who want to invest in their own personal brand. They are looking to make the best use of resources and understand the need to innovate and optimize performance. They may also have to present arguments for change, construct cases, lead change implementation and evaluate the impact of that change.

  • Managing Change
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Influencing and Assertiveness skills
  • Coaching and Mentoring Skills

The content delivery of the program focuses on individual reflective practice, group work activities, team development, peer support, action learning, business games, and leadership practice. Additional tools and resources available will be:

  • Psychometric profiles, analyzing the person’s strengths, personality and areas for development together with detailed advice on how to use the information for self-development.
  • Unlimited articles and practical tools to enhance emotional and social intelligence, navigate organizational power and politics, manage people and performance, and lead teams and projects.
