The Organizing Committee of the Updates in Primary Care Conference (UPCC2025) invites abstract submissions for poster presentations focused on outpatient medicine, with an emphasis on relevance to primary care practice in Qatar and the region.
Abstracts should reflect innovative, evidence-based, and practice-enhancing work related to ambulatory care. We welcome submissions on topics including, but not limited to:
✅ Clinical research in primary care
✅ Educational research in outpatient or family medicine
✅ Case reports with diagnostic or management challenges
✅ Innovation in outpatient medicine (care models, digital health, QI)
All abstracts will be peer-reviewed and must align with the conference theme. Each participant may submit and present only one abstract as the primary author. Co-authorship of additional abstracts is allowed, but each person may only be the presenting author on one submission. The submitting author is responsible for communicating with all co-authors. Notification of acceptance will be sent within two weeks of the submission deadline.
Please note: Abstracts not related to primary care or outpatient practice will not be reviewed.
Abstract Requirements
Title: Max 15 words, descriptive, no punctuation or quotation marks
Length: Max 300 words (excluding title and authors)
Format:
- Research: Background / Methods / Results / Conclusion
- Case Reports: Background / Case Description / Discussion

All accepted abstracts will be presented as posters at the conference.
About UPCC 2025
UPCC 2025 is a two-day conference taking place on December 5–6, 2025, in Doha, Qatar. Hosted by WCM-Q alumni, it will feature case-based, specialist-led sessions highlighting the latest evidence and best clinical practices for managing common adult conditions in primary care.The conference offers targeted learning, professional development, and networking for primary care physicians, general practitioners, and family medicine professionals in Qatar.
Low and Middle-Income Country Awards (LMICA)
We are pleased to announce the Low and Middle-Income Country Awards (LMICA) for UPCC 2025. Attendees from low and middle-income countries are eligible to apply for a Travel Award to support their attendance at the conference. Two recipients will be selected based on abstract assessment. For these winners, airfare will be provided along with complimentary conference registration to offset travel expenses. The notification date for award recipients will be communicated soon.
Eligibility for LMICA applicants:
- Current residence and study/work in a low-income and middle-income country (please view here).
- Submission of an abstract for poster presentation with the LMICA Travel Award option selected.
