The presentation covers various analysis methods to detect significant changes in the proteome of bacterial pathogens after their contact with the human host. Beside technical aspects to separate pathogens from host tissue, the results of in vivo proteomics analysis from interaction assays of the human pathogens Streptococcus pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus will be presented. In addition to classic mass spectrometry-based data, new immunoproteomics results are shown.
