Said Ismail, PhD
Dr. Said Ismail is the Director of the Qatar Genome programme (QGP), the largest project of its kind in the Middle East. QGP is a population-based initiative incubated at Qatar biobank and designed around on a comprehensive strategy involving drafting regulations and policies; forging local and international research partnerships; establishing national genomic data networks; building local human capacity; and facilitating the integration of genomics into the healthcare system.
Dr Ismail is a Ph.D. graduate from the University of Oxford, and has work experience extending into various fields including research, education and consultancy.
