Khaled Zamel, MD, FACNS
Dr. Zamel is a pediatric neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist. He is currently the chief of child neurology and senior attending at Sidra Medicine in Doha, Qatar as well as an associate professor at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar. Dr. Zamel completed his pediatric and child neurology residency as well as clinical neurophysiology & epilepsy fellowship training at the state university of New York after which he joined the faculty at the Ohio state University College of medicine and Nationwide Children’s hospital in year 2001. Dr. Zamel is American board certified in both child neurology and clinical neurophysiology. He is the recipient of the teacher of the year award in 2009 given by the child and adult neurology residents at the Ohio state university. He has many peer reviewed publications and book chapters and has recently co-authored a text book on neurophysiologic intra-operative monitoring. In addition to epilepsy and clinical neurophysiology, his other areas of interest include pediatric stroke and tuberous sclerosis complex.
