The Lifestyle Medicine (LM) forum, organized and managed by the Institute for Population Health (IPH) at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q), will bring together experts to explore the latest advancements in LM education, medical practice, and research. The forum will provide insights on how evidence-based lifestyle medicine interventions can prevent, manage, and even reverse the overwhelming burden of chronic diseases. It will provide an opportunity to demonstrate how LM serves as a key pathway to optimal health for patients and communities. Overall, the forum will foster an exchange of ideas and engage in interdisciplinary conversations to advance health and well-being of patients, communities, and populations.
The forum will take place at Hilton Doha hotel, on April 22, 2025 from 12.00pm to 4.50pm, Qatar (GMT +3).
Identified Practice Gaps/Educational Needs
Despite valid research findings supporting the benefits of LM, healthcare professionals remain unfamiliar and or skeptical about the usefulness of LM in the management and prevention of chronic diseases. Enhancing LM education and training by incorporating key topics like nutrition, physical activity, positive psychology, and behavior change counseling is crucial for equipping healthcare practitioners with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement lifestyle medicine.

- Discuss innovations and emerging trends in lifestyle medicine.
- Analyze effective strategies for incorporating and implementing lifestyle medicine into healthcare systems.
