Sarah Burshan contributes her expertise and dedication to holistic mental health care as a Psychologist and Learning Support Specialist at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q). With five years of valuable experience within the WCM-Q community, Sarah has played a crucial role in organizing and leading workshops related to mental health.
Sarah's professional journey began with the completion of her education in Chicago, where she earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with a specialized focus on trauma, and a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology. Motivated by her passion for humanitarian service, Sarah ventured to North Africa, where she engaged in a diverse array of activities ranging from supporting refugees and survivors of conflict to contributing as a production assistant and host of TedxTripoli.
Prior to her current role, Sarah served as a psychologist in Qatar, where she played a pivotal role in designing and implementing training programs for students and practitioners. She demonstrated a knack for developing innovative and culturally sensitive psychotherapy sessions, both individual and group-based, further enriching the mental health landscape in the region.
