Rakhi Thakur

Ms. Thakur is a qualified cardiac rehabilitation physiotherapist with 14 years of clinical experience. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy from Rajiv Gandhi University, India and her master’s in cardiovascular rehabilitation from the University of Chester, UK. Her clinical years have been spent working in India, the UK and now in Qatar. She works as cardiac rehabilitation physiotherapist in the Cardiac Rehabilitation Department of Hamad Heart Hospital, Qatar.

As a physiotherapist, she plays a vital role in the cardiac rehabilitation team. In her role she provides support and education to cardiac patients to prepare them to successfully complete their cardiac rehabilitation exercise programs. She also delivers public education programs to raise awareness of cardiac diseases and the importance of regular physical activity and positive lifestyle choices to support good health, thereby improving quality of life.
