Raji Anand serves as Administration Manager for the Institute for Population Health (IPH) at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar (WCM-Q).
Raji brings with her more than 20 years of experience working in a variety of roles. In her early career she worked in the hotel industry for Kempinski Hotels in front office management and corporate office administration. Following that, she worked in the oil and gas sector with Qatargas Operating Company in public relations and events.
For IPH, Raji’s responsibilities include planning and organizing locally and internationally accredited continuing medical education symposia, workshops and activities; generating reports, business plans, marketing and communications strategies; social media and webpage content management; planning and organizing IPH community outreach activities; managing the placement and logistics of senior international medical students on the Global Educational Exchange in Medicine and the Health Professions (GEMx) program and WCM-Q premedical students in the Global Health Service Learning Program; overseeing standard operating procedures and workflow; and financial and other operations.
Raji has certifications in digital marketing, critical thinking: judgment and decision making in the information age, healthcare leadership, executive leadership and project management: competencies and structure. Raji has served on the Program Advisory Committee of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference 2016 and on the organizing and scientific planning committees of various IPH symposia and courses. Raji won WCM-Q’s ‘Star of the Year’ Award in October 2016.
Raji has a Master's in Business Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia, USA and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Annamalai University, India; and is a diplomate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, India.
