Kabita Dutta, MD
Dr. Kabita Dutta is an experienced pathologist with an MD in Pathology from Delhi University. With over three decades of experience, she has worked at leading corporate hospitals in India, including the Apollo Hospitals Group, where she had a distinguished career as a Senior Clinical Pathologist. During her tenure, she contributed to JCI accreditations and served as an auditor for the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH). Dr. Dutta has also been involved in various clinical research projects and served as a mentor for postgraduate medical students pursuing the DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Pathology.
Her clinical interests focus on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and obesity. Dr. Dutta holds a fellowship in Diabetes Management from the Liverpool Academy in the UK. She is currently a Laboratory Subject Matter Expert at the Primary Health Care Corporation, where she leverages her extensive knowledge in disease pathogenesis, as well as disease screening and monitoring, particularly for preventable conditions.
Additionally, Dr. Dutta has been actively engaged with the Joint External Evaluation (JEE) Committee for the National Health System by the WHO in Qatar. She has also led various clinical awareness sessions at PHCC, focusing on patient safety, disease prevention, screening, and diagnostic challenges for clinicians and nurses.
