Sheena has over 20 years’ experience in Emergency Preparedness and Business Continuity Management working in both the public and private sectors. She has also extensive operational experience in responding to UK and overseas disasters.

Currently Sheena is HMC Major Incident Program Manager responsible for the co-ordination, development and implementation of major incident and business continuity arrangements within HMC.

Sheena’s involvement in emergency preparedness began in1999 as a UK Police Officer she was posted to the Force Operations Department in Merseyside Police and was part of a team responsible for preparedness and responds to major incidents and pre-planned events.

In 2002 she became a Course Director at the UK Emergency Planning College and was responsible for designing and delivering courses in civil protection in the UK and overseas.

Between 2008 and 2013 Sheena joined the UK National Health Service (NHS) as an Emergency Preparedness Manager and worked for a number of Primary Care Trust (PTC) setting up their civil protection, training and exercise programmes. With the Olympics looming Sheena joined Tower Hamlets in London and worked with other NHS partners to help prepare the Borough to manage its impact on health services.

During 2014 Sheena joined University Hospital of North Staffordshire as their Emergency Preparedness Manager
