Dr. Shane Pawluk received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2009. He then completed a hospital pharmacy residency at Children’s and Women’s Health Centre of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in 2010 and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada in May 2013. Dr. Shane has worked as a clinical pharmacist in pediatric medicine for several years and continues in a part-time capacity. As a Doctor of Pharmacy student, he has had the opportunity to complete clinical, research and industry clerkships within Canada and internationally.

Throughout his career, Dr. Shane has participated in several research projects and has authored a number of peer-reviewed publications and research posters in the areas of hospital pharmacy practice development, clinical pharmacokinetics, and infectious diseases. His primary clinical and research interests include pediatrics, nephrology, infectious diseases and clinical pharmacy practice. He has delivered many invited research seminars and numerous lectures to undergraduate pharmacy students, medical students and residents, pharmacists, physicians, and nurses both in Canada and internationally. He has also received research and student awards in pharmacy, and serves as an active member for several professional pharmacy associations.
