Moune Jabre
Dr. Moune Jabre joined Weill-Cornell Medicine – Qatar in 2015 as Assistant Professor of Clinical Obsterics and Gynecology. Dr. Jabre obtained her Doctorate of Medicine with honors from Boston University School of Medicine in 2005 then completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University / Women and Infants Hospital of Rhode Island, USA. She then joined the academic generalist faculty as Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Brown University / Women and Infants Hospital. Dr Jabre’s dedication to training Brown University medical students and residents in academic excellence is evidenced by numerous “Excellence in Teaching” Awards. Dr. Jabre is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and remains licensed to practice in Rhode Island.
Since joining WCM-Q, Dr. Jabre has served as the Obstetrics and Gynecology Clerkship Director, Unit Leader for Reproduction in the Health, Illness and Disease course, and Co-Director of the Near-Peer Tutoring Program since 2016. Academic interests include simulation, remediation and mentoring.
Dr. Jabre is multilingual and has lived in several countries in the Middle East, Europe, and North America. She has an exceptional ability to practice culturally competent medicine and thrives in a multitude of environments. This led her to join Sidra Medical and Research Center in 2014 where she continues to provide the highest level of patient care. Dr. Jabre is licensed as a consultant in obstetrics and gynecology and provides a full range of obstetric and gynecologic medical and surgical services at Sidra, and Hamad Women’s Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include evaluation and management of ectopic pregnancy, gynecologic and 1st trimester ultrasound, and emergency obstetric/gynecologic medicine.
