Ella Scott, RN, RSCN, Grad Dip PIC, MA
Ella Scott RN, RSCN, Grad Dip PIC, MA has been working in Sydney, Australia for many years and has been the operations manager and currently the Acting Director at Sidra Medicine Department of Simulation for four and a half years.
Ella is a Registered Nurse with over twenty-five years of experience in all clinical specialist areas of paediatrics including emergency medicine, intensive care and neonatal transport. She previously led the design and inception of the Paediatric Simulation Centres and program across the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network. During her position as Co-Lead she lectured on simulation based education and application to clinical specialties including ECMO, Paediatric trauma, burns, and challenging conversations with parents. Ella worked with staff from Boston Children’s Hospital to implement a simulation faculty development program and was a founding board member for the IPSS (International Paediatric Simulation Society).
Internationally Ella has been working as Simulation faculty and advisor with PEDISTARS (Pediatric Simulation Training Research Society) India and has contributed to faculty simulation workshops in Hyderabad and Vellore.
Recent publications have included contributions to two Simulation textbooks and a study on cultural prototypes in simulation debriefing.
