Efram Ellenbogen was born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and has been residing in Qatar since January 2016. 

Efram has been working as a paramedic in Ontario, Canada since graduating from Algonquin College in April 2004.  He has a post-graduate diploma in Advanced Care Paramedicine, as well as a diploma in teaching and is working to complete his bachelor of health sciences.

Efram has been involved in developing, coordinating and teaching for the Ottawa Hospital since 2009. Concurrently, he was involved with various quality and development projects and work assignments throughout his career, including such roles as Supervisor of Quality Assurance and Clinical Coordinator.

In his newest role as paramedic instructor for College of the North Atlantic-Qatar, Efram is redeveloping and implementing curriculum to compliment the college’s mission of delivering student-centered and multimedia enhanced classes.  The courses he has spearheaded include cardiology and pathophysiology, where he strives to implement facilitation techniques based on industry standards, best practices and evidence based methods.
