Research Internship for National High School Students

The Research Internship for National High School Students at Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar offers young ambitious researchers, ages 16 years and above, the opportunity to spend their time learning about Biomedical Research in a challenging and dynamic research environment.

The program is divided into two main components:

A. Biomedical Research Management Essentials

The Biomedical Research Management Essentials includes basic introductory sessions about different aspects of research management. The program’s sessions include:
  • Research Operation
  • Laboratory Management
  • Grants Management
  • Research Integrity
  • Clinical Management
  • Professional skills

B. Biomedical Research Management Practical Training

The practical training gives interns insight into a real employee’s life. Trainees are expected to apply hands-on knowledge gained during the Biomedical Research Management Essentials component of the program during their practical training. This component aims to help interns experience training in an actual research environment.

The period of the practical training depends on the program option the intern chooses from below:

downIntensive Research Internship (4 weeks)

Minimum Requirements:
All required documents must be submitted in English

  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Current high school student (age 16 and above)
  • Interest in learning about research administration
  • Willing to take responsibility and work in a professional manner
