Autumn Nobles is a second-year medical student at the Yale School of Medicine. As an undergraduate, she attended the University of Georgia (UGA) where she was awarded a degree in anthropology. She has had many formative experiences in global health such as researching hypertension in Uganda, co-founding the UGA chapter of the American Mock World Health Organization, and co-founding the new peer-learning program YGH SURGE. She currently works at the intersection of global health and social justice, acting as one of the student coordinators for the Yale Office of Global Health Education. She is also the co-leader of a student-led initiative, the US Health Justice elective, which explores health equity and social justice through domestic and global lenses. Her research has examined health disparities and interventions to teach against biological race in undergraduate medical education.
