Weill Cornell Medicine Qatar (WCMQ) in collaboration with local biomedical stakeholders in Qatar will be holding this conference to stimulate industry-academia alliances and partnerships on the biomedical front.
Qatar has invested heavily over the past decade to build up strong programs in the areas of deep phenotyping of local clinical cohorts in the context of metabolic syndrome and other complex diseases. The goal of the conference is to build on the strengths of the biomedical research enterprise in Doha to initiate collaborative efforts with industrial partners to fast track clinical application. In addition, the Qatar Biobank and Qatar Genome Project have collected and characterized a rich cohort of normal individuals.
The Conference will feature representation from multiple Industrial entities and promises a rich platform to initiate discussions on potential collaborative efforts on the biomedical front.
