Wumi Akinade
Wumi Akinade is the Resource Management Specialist in the Health Sciences Library at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar (WCM-Q). She supports the library’s activities by creating and managing the electronic, digital collections of e-course reserve, and physical resources in Alma library system to ensure easy and seamless access to all library resources. Wumi is responsible for managing the acquisition of library materials as well as giving the appropriate rights and permissions to users to access library materials. She has been working at WCM-Q since 2010. Prior to joining WCM-Q, she worked at Georgetown University as a User Support Specialist and as a Library Assistant. She also worked at Dunn and Bradstreet as the Systems Administrator and at GE Capital as a Computer Operator. She has a Masters in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from the University College London and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. She received her BS in Computer Information Systems at High Point University. She received her BA in Education History at Obafemi Awolowo University.
