Sara Abdulla, PhD
Dr. Sara Abdulla earned her Ph.D. in clinical neurosciences from the University of Cambridge. She serves as the senior research program manager at the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council. In this role, she designs and oversees funding programs, research proposals, and engages with national and international stakeholders to advance biomedical and health research and innovation for Qatar. Before joining QRDI, Dr. Abdulla worked as a neuroscientist, focusing on neurodegenerative diseases and neurodevelopmental disorders. Her recent work made significant contributions to autism spectrum disorder (ASD) research. She led efforts to identify diagnostic biomarkers and develop early diagnostic tools, focusing on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying ASD.
