Dr. Amna Aboalmaaly is a senior research program specialist with a Ph.D. in medicine, specializing in genetics and cancer research. With extensive experience in the UK, she has made significant contributions to the fields of oncology and biomedical sciences. At the Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council, Dr. Aboalmaaly leads efforts to advance innovative biomedical research aligned with Qatar's health priorities. She is passionate about translating scientific discoveries into real-world healthcare solutions and fostering collaboration across academia, healthcare, and industry to address urgent health challenges both locally and globally.

Dr. Aboalmaaly regularly represents QRDI at national and international forums. She recently joined Qatar’s delegation to the Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum in Japan and was invited to participate in a dialogue between young leaders and Nobel Laureates, reflecting her commitment to advancing global scientific collaboration and innovation discourse.
