Susana Oliveira Henriques
Susana is an external PhD candidate at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies(CWTS) of the University of Leiden. Susana’s interests include innovation in scholarly communication and peer review, with a special focus on dissemination and quality control of biomedical research. Recently, she has joined the Peer Review Project research team, at the Research on Research Institute (RoRI), where she is working with the COVID-19 Rapid Review Initiative, a collaboration of scientific publishers, scholarly communication organizations, and the RoRi.
She is currently the head of the Center for Information and Documentation at the Lisbon University Medical School (FMUL), where she is also a teacher of Evidence Based Medicine and a member of the School Council. At FMUL she works at the interface between research and practice, an approach informed by her practitioner experience as health information professional, with a background on library management, systematic information retrieval, evidence synthesis and knowledge translation.
Susana holds a degree in History and a Master in Library Sciences, from the Lisbon University, a CCPE Diploma of Pedagogical Competencies and she is also a certified trainer of Open Science, Responsible Research & Innovation – FIT4RRI European Project.
Since 2017, she is a financial auditor of the Governance Committee of the European Association for Health Information and Libraries – EAHIL. From 2013 to 2016 she was a member of the International Council of EAHIL. From 2015 to 2018 she was the vice-president of the Portuguese Association of Health Documentation and Information (APDIS).
