Huda Abdelrahim, MA is a senior specialist in cultural competence in healthcare at the Institute for Population Health of Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar (WCM-Q). Ms. Abdelrahim holds a master's degree in human development, a graduate diploma in education, and a bachelor of science degree. Ms. Abdelrahim is the co-founder of the Qatar Institute of Intercultural Communication, an Education City initiative that works in collaboration with the Intercultural Communication & Collaboration Forum (ICCF). She is licensed by the Cross-Cultural Health Care Program in Seattle, USA as a trainer of medical interpreters and by the US National Council on Interpreting in Health Care as a cultural competence in healthcare trainer. She is also certified by Talentsmart Inc., USA as a certified trainer of emotional intelligence. Ms. Abdelrahim’s research interests are in education, diversity and intercultural communication in healthcare. She has authored and co-authored various papers in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals.
