Majida Timimi, BSc, MT(ASCP)
Mrs. Majida Timimi is a Health Science teacher at the DeBakey High School for Health Professions at Qatar. Mrs. Timimi also serves as the Head of Department - Science and Health Science Technology.
Prior to coming to Qatar three-and-a-half years ago, Mrs. Timimi worked at the Houston Methodist Hospital in the Clinical Microbiology/Virology and Chemistry departments in Houston, Texas for 17 years.
Mrs. Timimi was part of the team responsible for training medical technology to medical lab technician students in the Houston Methodist School of Medical Technology. She has also worked at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as a Clinical Microbiologist/Virologist in Houston, Texas. She was part of a research team developing the antigenimia viral detection method.
Mrs. Timimi has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a postgraduate diploma in Medical Technology, MT (ASCP). She is married with two sons.
