"Is it really that hot in Qatar?" This was one of many questions posed to WCMC-Q representatives at the annual meeting of The Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) in Washington DC.
The AAMC provides representatives from medical colleges across the United States and in Weill Cornell's case, internationally, with the opportunity to mingle and further excellence in medical education.
Weill Cornell Medical College in New York worked with WCMC-Q, Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and New York-Presbyterian Hospital to stage a massive information and display booth, catching the eye of about 4,000 attendees.

Lee Askin, Director of Admissions in Qatar
was on hand at the AAMC meeting to
answer questions about the unique Qatar
program and its relationship to New York.
Most people visiting the booth showed a keen interest in WCMC-Q
and Qatar generally.
WCMC-Q was represented by: the Dean, Dr Daniel R.Alonso; Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs, Dr Maya Hammoud; Associate Director, Assessment, Office of Educational Development, Dr Mary Anne Baker; Director, Student Affairs, Eric Fry; Director of Admissions, Lee Askin and Student Academic Counsellor, Donney Moroney.
The WCMC-Q team highlighted WCMC-Q's medical programmes, life in Qatar, and their pride in the upcoming 2008 first graduating class.
A senior executive from another prestigious medical school summed up the successful interaction and communications provided by Weill Cornell from both New York and Qatar, saying: "You folks from Weill Cornell really know how to make an impression. Congratulations!"
