The Elizabeth Alger Collection: the Classics of Medicine Library

Donated by Elizabeth Alger, M.D., F.A.C.P., Senior Associate Dean for Education,
Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.

The Classics of Medicine Library is a collection of facsimile editions of important works on the study of medicine that have been chosen by an editorial board of renowned experts. The original editions are collected from world-class libraries, private collectors and antiquarian booksellers. These rare volumes are then faithfully reproduced, page-by-page on acid free paper and bound in leather with specially commissioned end leaves and gold stamping.

On behalf of students who will enjoy the experience of reading and handling these significant works now and in the future, the Library of the Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar wishes to extend its sincere gratitude to Dr. Alger for her generous donation.
