Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group - Qatar

Globally, there is an ongoing epidemic of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), examples of which include hypertension, cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes to name a few. The good news is that the vast majority of these diseases can be prevented, treated and often reversed with lifestyle measures such as healthy food, good nutrition practices, physical activity, stress management and smoking cessation. These measures comprise the core of lifestyle medicine practice, an emerging discipline in healthcare. In the spirit of promoting lifestyle medicine, we welcome you to join the Lifestyle Medicine Interest Group - Qatar (LMIG-Q).
