Taher Giaedi


Taher Giaedi went to the University of Kentucky for his BA in Political Science, and then he went to finish his Master in Health Administration. Then, he worked on his Fellowship in Healthcare Strategic Planning US Department of Veterans Affairs. Upon finishing the fellowship, he accepted a position with the VA to work as a Program Analyst with the Louisville VA Medical Center in the Quality Department.

Dr. Giaedi has continued his career with the Department of Veteran Affairs to accept the position of the Chief of Health Administration at the Richmond VA Medical Center. In his fourth year in this position, he is in charge of the administration portion of the hospital where he leads the medical records, coding, benefits and eligibility, and the administrative staff in the clinics.

While growing through the ranks of the system, he worked in his Doctorate in Health Administration where he finished his degree with the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Giaedi has been involved in working with students for the past ten years. He worked in his role as a preceptor and as a mentor for a number of students who worked in their master in health administration. He also served as a committee member for PhD students in Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Giaedi has an interest in the role culture in healthcare organizations. While pursuing his Doctorate degree, he worked in a research project in “Using Structural Equation Model to Study the Impact of Organizational Culture and Nursing Work Environment in Nursing and Patient Satisfaction”. Also, he participated in a research project “Organizational Culture, Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intentions: The Mediating Role of Perceived Organizational Support”

Currently, I am the Chief Operating Officer with the Qatar Red Crescent Medical Affairs Division.
