Mr. Mark Santos


Mark Dimon Santos, MA, RN, SCRN, CTTS, EdD(c) is currently the Stroke Coordinator of Neuroscience Institute , Academic Health System, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) since 2013. Mr. Santos joined HMC in 2007 as a Staff Nurse. In the same year, Mr. Santos was promoted as the Trauma Database Analyst in the Trauma Surgery Department for six years. Mr. Santos is a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) major in Industrial Education Management for 2017 at the Technological University of the Philippines. Mr. Santos graduated Master of Arts major in Nursing Administration (2011) at the Philippine Women’s University, Professional Masters in Nursing Certificate (Medical -Surgical) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2001) at Western Mindanao State University. He earned Certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (CTTS) given by Mayo Clinic in 2015 and Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) given by the American Board of Nueroscience Nursing in 2014. Mr. Santos is both a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Teacher.

Prior joining HMC, Mr. Santos served as a Staff Nurse at Western Mindanao Medical Center and then Clinical Instructor at Western Mindanao State University then Staff Nurse at Al Noor Hospital, Makkah , Saudi Arabia then Clinical Instructor at Makati Medical Center, Philippines.

At Neuroscience Institute particularly Stroke Service, Mr. Santos volunteered to lead the Stroke Education for the Public, Professionals and Patients. Mr. Santos’ key contribution is on stroke coordination of care at the hospital and national level. He has participated in numerous international conferences in Stroke Care in Dubai, Thailand, Philippines and India. He is currently with the Qatar, Thailand and Philippine research groups. Mr. Santos serves the welfare of the Filipino nurses in Qatar since 2008 which he became the President (2016) and recently Adviser of Philippine Nurses Association – Qatar.
