Medical Student (Class of 2022)
Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar

Akash Keluth is a 3rd year medical student (class of 2022) at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar. He is currently a class representative for the Medical Students Executive Council and serves as his medical school’s Local Officer for Human Rights and Peace under Qatar Medical Students’ Association.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Akash found it necessary to learn about what’s in store for the future with respect to the healthcare professions and the ethical issues that this pandemic raises. Thus, he has enrolled in electives to explore the ethical considerations during COVID-19 and also discover the field of telemedicine with the help of Dr. Stella Major and her CSSL (Clinical Skills & Simulation Lab) team.

He is currently researching leadership development in the medical curricula and wishes to enhance his medical's school curriculum to develop future leaders, those that are prepared to face a situation such as this pandemic.
