Reham Hassan, MB, BCh, MPH
Dr. Reham leads a number of improvement initiatives and workstreams in her role as the IHI-HMC partnership manager, including the National Value Improvement Collaborative (NVIC), the Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) patient flow collaborative, and the age-friendly collaborative. These initiatives are in addition to contributions to all education and training programs related to quality and patient safety. Dr. Reham is also the lead for the national outpatient department improvement initiative.
Dr. Reham has served as a lecturer at the College of Health Sciences at Qatar University, supporting the master’s of public health concentration. She also supervises master's practicum projects.
With a background as a clinical hematologist, Dr. Reham has been with HMC for two decades, starting as a front-line physician and then preparing for JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation. She also led numerous improvement projects.
Dr. Reham holds Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) accreditation and the Six Sigma Green Belt. She is also certified as a level 1 clinical microsystems coach by the Dartmouth Institute Microsystem Academy, which she first achieved in 2013. Dr. Rehman is a coach and facilitator of a communications course at HMC and of a number of workshops for undergraduate students at Qatar University. She is a member of several committees, and leader and speaker for several several healthcare forums and conferences, both locally and internationally, demonstrating her commitment to continous improvement of healthcare quality and patient experiences.
