Manal Al-Zaidan, BSc(Pharm), PharmD, EMBA
Dr. Manal Al-Zaidan earned her BSc in pharmacy from the University of Jordan in 2001 and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Purdue University, Indiana, USA in 2013. She also holds an Executive Master of Business and Administration (EMBA) from HEC-Paris Qatar, which she gained in 2017, and she completed the Executive Leadership Program at Qatar Leadership Center in 2019.
Dr. Al-Zaidan has made significant contributions to the advancement of pharmacy practice in Qatar, most notably in in her previous roles as Pharmacy Director at the National Centre for Cancer Care and Research and at Hamad Medical Corporation’s Heart Hospital, positions she held from 2001-2015. From 2015-2019, Dr. Al-Zaidan held the position of Director of Pharmacy at Aspetar Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Hospital, and she was the pharmacy member of the Permeant Licensure Committee of the Ministry of Public Health from 2011 to 2018. In addition, Dr. Al-Zaidan was a member of the foundation team that helped to plan, develop and establish the College of Pharmacy at Qatar University in accordance to the Canadian Accreditation Standards CCAP Canada, from 2006-2007. She also established the Continuing Pharmacy Education (CPE) Program at Hamad Medical Corporation in 2004, as well new services including clinical pharmacy, clinical pharmacy outpatient clinics including heart failure and anticoagulation clinics, implemented pharmacy automation, pharmacy virtual consultations, plus many others.
Dr. Al-Zaidan has published several research papers in leading pharmacy journals and has presented numerous papers at local and international conferences.
